Chef John McCarthy from The Crimson Sparrow in Hudson, NY, will make a special “pop-up” dinner at Jimmy’s No. 43 craft beer bar, owned by the famous beer expert, Jimmy Carbone. Shochu distillers Yamato Zakura and Satsuma Shima Bijin will be in attendance at the event. Check back here for more details!
Yamato Zakura and Satsuma Shima Bijin shochu will be served at Shochu’sday, a shochu happy hosted by Cool Japan’s Shochu Ambassador, Stephen Lyman. The location has not be decided yet, so check back here for updates.
Stephen Lyman will teach a Shochu Class to students at The Brooklyn Kitchen, a kitchen supply and grocery store with a culinary school. Yamato Zakura and Satsuma Shima Bijin shochu will be paired with a variety of dishes.
Japan Society hosts shochu expert, Stephen Lyman, at a ticketed event that is open to the public. If you're in New York City, then this is one of the best shochu events of the year!
