Shochu and awamori information portal for beverage alcohol trade professionals.
Japan House London teams up with the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association to bring you a live online seminar and distillery tour featuring Japan-based experts Stephen Lyman and Christopher Pellegrini.
Pellegrini will begin with a brief, interactive introduction to Japan’s indigenous spirit, shochu, and Lyman will narrate a tour through Komasa Distillery, one of the most respected shochu makers in Kagoshima Prefecture.
The virtual tour is aimed at all Japanese spirits knowledge levels from novice to pro, and there is certain to be something new included even for the most seasoned veteran.
Komasa Distillery is an accomplished producer of sweet potato and barley products. They are one of the few distilleries in Kyushu that do both on an exceedingly high level, so this is a helpful seminar for anyone who wants to know a little more about one of the world’s most diverse spirit categories, shochu.
Stephen Lyman and Christopher Pellegrini are experienced at introducing these unknown spirits in ways that are both compelling and useful to trade professionals and casual drinkers alike. There is truly something here for everyone in this action-packed event.
